Secrets to the perfect pedicure

Put your best foot forward this spring by giving your toes some love.
She's the super-glam megastar who never looks less than fabulous.
But as Madonna proved last week, even pop sensations are capable of making the odd beauty blunder.

The usually uber-groomed singer made headlines when she was snapped with less than tip-top toes while launching her new fragrance Truth Or Dare in New York.

In contrast to her otherwise immaculate look, the singer’s peep-toe shoes revealed unsightly toenails that were screaming out for a pedicure.

If you’re keen to avoid making a similar mistake to Madonna, here are some tips to make sure you put your best foot forward this spring.

Buff-up

Is there anything more unsightly than cracked, rough heels? So why not buff any dry areas with a pumice stone before giving your feet a serious treat with super-exfoliating Liz Earle Foot scrub.

Moisture boost

Give your tootsies a boost with a reviving spa like Sole Relief Relaxing And Reviving Foot Spa by Leighton Denny and look out for a vitamin-enriched cream, such as Dior Fortifying Nail Cream, to make sure your nails are nourished too.

Finish off with a dollop of Peppermint Reviving Foot Gel from The Body Shop.

Get in shape

It's not just your fingernails that will grab glances if they're looking less than shapely. For pretty toes, get your hands on some Revlon nail clippers and use a nail file to smooth into shape.

Polish

Now that your feet are perfectly pampered, pick a pretty polish to finish off your look. Ice cream pastels are totally on-trend so why not check out Chanel's spring collection Le Vernis which is jam-packed with covetable hues.
